Born in Middlesbrough, UK and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Olaitan Oladipo is a writer, painter, creative producer, and singer/songwriter.
Influenced by her family’s roots in Osogbo, Nigeria, her writing explores emigration, otherness, and the African diasporic experience. Using lineage as foundation, Olaitan invites the reader to consider what is passed down and what are the moments of repetition that take place in our collective timeline.
Olaitan is a BA graduate of Brown University, where she received dual-degrees in Modern Culture & Media and Africana Studies. She earned an MFA in Writing from Columbia University’s School of the Arts and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
